Praying For Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Dripping Springs

Greetings in the Name of our Good Shepherd, Jesus of Nazareth.

This is a request to each of you to continue praying for Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Dripping Springs.  God is doing amazing things in our midst and leading us to begin weekly services in Dripping Springs at Church of the Springs on Sunday, September 9 at 5:00pm.  This will be a season of learning and growing into the worshiping community God wants GSAC to be in Dripping Springs. We will learn to serve and pray together as God’s missionaries in this area.  This will be a sweet, wonderful time of fellowship and fun, too. By the grace and sovereignty of God Good Shepherd Anglican Church will have her official launch on Sunday, December 2, which is Advent 1.  Considering this timeline and the work to be done, it's imperative that we pray every day and ask the Holy Spirit to fall upon and move among us.  As you go about your day, please pray these prayers:

O God, our heavenly Father, you manifested your love by sending your only-begotten Son into the world, that all might live through him: Pour out your Spirit on your Church, that we may fulfill his command to preach the Gospel to all people. Send forth laborers into your harvest; defend them in all dangers and temptations; and hasten the time when the fullness of the Gentiles shall be gathered in, and faithful Israel shall be saved; through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things in heaven and earth: Mercifully hear our prayers, and grant that Good Shepherd Anglican Church the pure Word of God will be preached and the sacraments duly administered. Strengthen and confirm the faithful; protect and guide the children; visit and relieve the sick; turn and soften the wicked; arouse the careless; recover the fallen; restore the penitent; remove all hindrances to the advancement of your truth; and bring us all to be of one heart and mind within your holy Church, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heavenly Father, in your Word you have given us a vision of that holy City to which the nations of the world bring their glory: Behold and visit, we pray, Dripping Springs and the surrounding area. Renew the ties of mutual regard that form our civic life. Send us honest and able leaders. Deliver us from poverty, prejudice, and oppression, that peace may prevail with righteousness, and justice with order, and that men and women from different cultures and with differing talents may find, together with one another, the fulfillment of their humanity; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O God, by your grace you have called us in The Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast to be a goodly and godly fellowship of faith. Bless Bishop Clark, Fr. Perry and the people you've called to this work in Dripping Springs. Grant that your Word may be truly preached and truly heard, your Sacraments faithfully administered and faithfully received. By your Spirit, fashion our lives according to the example of your Son, and grant that we may show the power of your love to all among whom we live; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

May the Good Shepherd pastor, provide for and protect you,

Perry+
